Why this matters now
In times of crisis, speed and targeted action often matter more than loud declarations. Box Catering, in partnership with the Let’s Help foundation and the international community Board, shows how food service providers become an element of social resilience: from supporting medical staff during COVID to supplying hot meals and desserts to those affected by missile strikes in Kyiv in 2024 and 2025.
Concrete cases — instead of words
The company regularly provides meals for territorial defense units (TRO), hospitals, subway shelters and workers of Kyiv’s critical infrastructure. After the strikes in Syrets (2024) and on Honty Street (2025), Box Catering promptly prepared and delivered hot meals to local residents. Separately: desserts for charity events, a permanent discount for service members on the company’s website, a partnership with the Ukrainian Army of Business Empaths initiative, and regular meals for the orphanage "City of Happy Children" on holidays.
Among internal initiatives — a company event in the format of a "Sorochynskyi Fair," where the funds raised went to buy a car for a colleague — the head chef who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine — as well as a "Secret Santa" for families of employees who are currently at the front. In partnership with Board the company delivered 12 gifts to children whose parents were killed or went missing.
"The most important thing is targeting and trust. We support initiatives and funds when we understand who stands behind them and exactly where the aid is going. That increases team engagement and delivers tangible results."
— Iryna Kushnir, CEO Box Catering
Guidelines for businesses
Box Catering defines a simple algorithm: respond to verified requests, combine rapid assistance with long-term projects, and keep the business viable — pay salaries and taxes. It's a formula that combines ethical responsibility and operational reality.
Transparency of funds and clear reporting lower the barrier for business participation. A small regular contribution is better than a one-off "showy" action: consistency breeds trust and has a scalable effect.
"It's positive. People are proud that the company supports the country and joins important initiatives. It gives work more meaning and internal motivation."
— Kateryna Suslich, Chief Operating Officer, Let’s Help
Conclusion
This is not just about PR: it's about how business resources can become part of national support — operationally, targeted, and transparently. Another question for the market: if Box Catering's small steps are already changing people's lives today, are other companies ready to do their part?
