In the chain's press release, they explained that Kolomyia is included in the 2025 investment program, which envisages even expansion not only in regional centers but also in promising towns with populations of about 50–100 thousand people.

The chain notes that it also has outlets in smaller settlements; however, the vast majority of such restaurants are located in the suburbs of large cities — notably Sokilnyky, Hostomel, Vyshhorod and Sofiivska Borshchahivka.

The restaurant in Kolomyia opened in the Galeria Korzo shopping center at 30a Chornovola Avenue, near the "Pysanka" museum.

The premises cover 274 sq. m. Inside there are 76 seats, with a further 32 on the summer terrace.

As of September 2025, there were 68 KFC restaurants in Ukraine, of which 20 opened after the start of the full‑scale invasion. During 2025 franchisees opened four new outlets; two of them launched in Odesa on 22 and 28 August.

KFC estimates that each restaurant creates roughly 25 jobs, providing employment opportunities for local residents and professionals.

  • Hesburger plans to open at least ten restaurants in western Ukraine over the next five years with total investments of around €12 million.
  • In 2023 McDonald's opened its first outlet in the Carpathians — in the town of Yaremche.
