First Results of Negotiations

The President reminded that on November 23, the Ukrainian delegation is working in Geneva to find "workable solutions for ending the war, restoring peace, and ensuring lasting security."

"There have already been brief reports from the team regarding the results of the first meetings and conversations. There is currently an understanding that American proposals may take into account several elements based on the Ukrainian vision and are critically important for Ukraine's national interests."

– the president said, without specifying which provisions were being referred to.

According to Zelensky, further work is ongoing to ensure that all elements of the plan are truly effective for "achieving the main goal that our people are counting on – ultimately putting an end to the bloodshed and war."

Conversation with the Prime Minister of Canada

The head of state also reported on a "good, very useful" conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The day before, he became one of the signatories of a joint statement from the European Union and 11 countries that the U.S. peace plan is "a foundation that requires further work."

"We are working to make the path to ending the war real and to ensure that the fundamental positions work."

– Zelensky told Carney about the negotiations in Switzerland.

Coalition of Willing

The president also announced a conversation of the coalition of willing partners at the beginning of next week:

"We value this format of coordination among a broader circle of partners so that everyone is involved and informed about the peace process."

Negotiation Format

A meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with advisors on national security from Britain, France, and Germany has already taken place in Switzerland, and after that, negotiations with the U.S. were scheduled. Several meetings in different formats are planned in total.

Officially, the U.S. peace plan has not yet been fully published. MP Merezhko expressed the opinion that the unofficial document is rather a provocation by Putin to try to use Trump to issue an ultimatum to Ukraine.

War

Russia attacked Kharkiv with kamikaze drones on the evening of November 23. Three people were killed and 15 were injured, including a 12-year-old child. Strikes were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Saltivskyi districts.
