Polish President Karol Nawrocki stated that Warsaw will not place Ukraine's interests above its own, and the relations between the two countries should remain equal and balanced. He shared this in an interview with the television channel Wpolsce24.
«Our relations should be partnership-based, with a desire for symmetry between the interests of Poland and Ukraine, as well as in the context of events in the east. Poland's interests cannot be viewed as a tool for fulfilling all of Kyiv's demands,» Nawrocki emphasized.
He underscored that Poland provides and will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine, but will always defend its own state position.
«If someone — for example, President Zelensky — expects that I will not speak with the voice of Poles on key issues, then he is mistaken. Poland will not be a hostage to any state and will not place foreign interests above its own,» added the head of the Polish state.
