U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio positively assessed the results of the negotiations in Switzerland regarding the American peace plan. According to him, the parties made significant progress and narrowed the scope of open questions. The official made this statement after the meetings concluded.

Assessment of Results

Rubio, who also serves as the acting national security advisor to the U.S. president, called this day the best in the entire process of working towards a peace settlement.

"We came here today with one goal, namely – to take, as you know, 28 or 26 points, depending on which version of the document is adopted, as it continues to change, and try to narrow the scope of open questions. And today we achieved this to a very significant extent."
