Anthropic has introduced Opus 4.5 – an updated version of the flagship artificial intelligence model Claude. It is the final release in the 4.5 family following the launches of Sonnet and Haiku.
New tools for work
Alongside the model, the company opened access to Claude for Chrome and Claude for Excel tools. The Chrome browser extension will be available to users on the Max plan, and the Excel integration will be available for Max, Team, and Enterprise subscriptions.
Improvements to context handling
Opus 4.5 received an improved system for handling large volumes of information and memory. The model autonomously compresses data during long sessions, preserving key details without notifying the user. The infinite chat feature now works for all paid subscriptions.
The new version is designed for complex tasks where Claude coordinates the work of several auxiliary models.
