The company founded by Amazon Jeff Bezos, Blue Origin, successfully landed the first stage of its New Glenn rocket on a sea platform in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time during its second launch, reports NASA.

The launch took place on November 13 from the LC-36 site at Cape Canaveral. Four minutes later, the second stage continued its flight while the booster began its autonomous return. Approximately ten minutes later, it successfully landed on the drone ship.

The rocket delivered its first commercial payload to orbit – two NASA devices for studying the Martian atmosphere. The deployment occurred approximately 34 minutes after liftoff. In the coming months, the probes will head to the Red Planet.

During the first launch in January, New Glenn reached orbit, but its first stage exploded upon return.

SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell called the launch "Magnificent!", and Elon Musk also congratulated Blue Origin on social media platform X.
