The Russian company Idol embarrassed itself during the presentation of its humanoid AI robot. Aidol was supposed to make a dramatic entrance on stage but took two steps and fell, writes Newsweek.
The company attributed the incident to "calibration issues" and stated that the robot is still in the testing phase.
Aidol operates on a 48V battery for six hours and simulates basic emotions through silicone "skin." Idol claims that 77% of its components are produced in Russia and plans to increase this figure to 93%.
