Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed a licensing agreement for the manufacture of the Ukrainian interceptor drone Octopus, Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.
He noted that this is a historic precedent and the next important step that will allow Ukrainian interceptors to be produced in Britain. The document was signed between delegations of the ministries of defence of both countries.
According to Shmyhal, the Octopus UAV has proven its effectiveness in combating "Shaheds". Mass production is planned, which could reach several thousand per month.
After manufacture, the interceptor drones will be delivered to Ukraine to strengthen air protection and bolster its air defence.
