Fighting continues in Pokrovsk and near Myrnohrad, but the Defense Forces have managed to reduce the number of enemy assaults involving armored vehicles. This was reported by the "East" grouping of forces.
Situation in Pokrovsk
To the central part of Pokrovsk, the Russians are sending small groups of soldiers to create a picture for propaganda media. Fighting is taking place in the city and the Defense Forces are conducting search-and-strike operations.
According to the military, the enemy is trying to infiltrate the southern part of Pokrovsk, using weather conditions. Attempts by small enemy groups to advance to the north are also ongoing, but the Defense Forces are holding them back.
"The invaders planned to capture Pokrovsk by September. It is now the end of November, but fighting in the city continues. As a result of fierce battles, the enemy is suffering huge losses and is already forced to commit reserves"
– the military reported.
Pressure on Myrnohrad
The Russians are increasing pressure on Myrnohrad: they are trying to cut the logistics between Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad and to enter the city itself. In response, the Defense Forces are deploying the necessary means to thwart the Russians' offensive plans and are successfully destroying the enemy's personnel and equipment.
Ukrainian troops are disrupting the enemy's logistics, thanks to which the number of assault actions involving armored vehicles has significantly decreased. In possible areas, engineers have organized defensive corridors of netting.
"Routes for moving equipment have been brought to the closest possible distance to the line of contact and are covered by air defense forces. Evacuation is carried out through these same corridors. Where ground logistics are impossible for security reasons, heavy drones, NRK or operations by foot groups are used"
– the military noted.
There is no encirclement of Ukrainian troops; logistics are complicated but are being maintained at the required level.
