The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy, has ordered to reinforce units in the Donetsk region with personnel and weapons, including drones. He announced this decision via social media.
The Commander continues to work in the region, particularly in the area of responsibility of the seventh rapid response corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He listened to reports from commanders on the ground regarding the current situation and urgent needs.
“Key issues: securing logistics, actions of assault groups to push the enemy out of urban areas. We are strengthening the troops with additional units, weapons, and equipment, including unmanned systems,” Syrskiy wrote.
He added that the Defense Forces are increasing pressure on the Dobropil salient. They continue to liberate and clear territories, forcing the Russians to disperse their forces and making it impossible to concentrate their main efforts in the Pokrovsk area.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, in the past day, assault units in the Dobropil salient have advanced in certain directions. Overall, during the operation, 188 square kilometers have been liberated, and nearly 249 square kilometers have been cleared of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
