Russian occupier Veniamin Mazherin was killed on October 25 as a result of a car explosion in the Kemerovo region.
A lieutenant colonel of the Russian OMON, involved in war crimes in the Kyiv region, has been killed in Russia. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
On October 25, a car exploded in the Kemerovo region of Russia, with police lieutenant colonel Veniamin Mazherin at the wheel.
He served in the OMON special unit “Oberig” of the Rosgvardiya in the Kemerovo region.
“Oberig” is one of many Rosgvardiya units involved in war crimes and genocide against Ukrainians in the Kyiv region, committed by the occupying army during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation in February-March 2022.
Based on collected evidence and eyewitness testimonies, the Office of the Prosecutor General has opened a criminal case against the servicemen of the unit, particularly for violations of the laws and customs of war.
