Ukraine synchronized sanctions with the United States and introduced new sanctions against Russians, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
In addition to synchronizing sanctions, restrictions were also imposed on Rosneft, its enterprises, and companies that are part of the Lukoil group. These sanctions are now "significantly depriving the Russian war machine of money," the president emphasized.
Sanctions have also been imposed on Russians who organize the systematic killing of Ukrainians with drones.
"We will make these sanctions effectively joint with our partners so that the world pressures the aggressor precisely in the way needed to weaken Russia's ability to wage war, and so that the Russian killers truly feel that there is pressure."
– Zelensky said.
Sanctions policy priorities
The president outlined the key priorities of Ukraine's sanctions policy through the end of 2025: continue synchronizing sanctions with allies, prepare the European Union's 20th sanctions package, tighten restrictions on the shadow fleet, military production, collaborators, and Russian propagandists.
