President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal to immediately renew the composition of supervisory boards in the defense sector in order to establish full control over companies' internal processes.

According to the president, supervisory boards exercise management and oversight over the activities of enterprises, and that oversight must be complete. The order calls for the rapid formation of new control bodies within defense companies.

In addition, Zelenskyy instructed the Prime Minister to inform key international partners about the Cabinet of Ministers' measures aimed at restoring trust in state institutions and Ukrainian companies.
Changes in the energy sector
At the same time, the mandates of a significant number of supervisory board members of key state energy companies will be terminated today: Centrenergo, the GTS Operator, the Market Operator, Ukrainian Distribution Networks and the Energy Company of Ukraine.
New supervisory board members are planned to be appointed in December through a transparent and open procedure, according to leadership. The review of board composition in the energy sector is a continuation of response measures following a high-profile corruption scandal in the sector.
On November 29, the president announced his intention to update the state's key defense documents, including the defense plan, as part of a package of measures to strengthen security.
