Donor Day in Bucha — concrete help instead of fine words
Over the course of the day, 36 residents of the Bucha community voluntarily donated blood. A total volume — 18 liters — was handed over to medics for the treatment of patients in critical condition. According to medical staff, such a volume provides dozens of transfusions that can be decisive for the wounded and the ill.
In addition to direct blood donations, each donor had the opportunity to transfer the funds received for the donation to support Ukrainian defenders. The combination of medical assistance and volunteer support for the front makes the campaign a twofold contribution to the community's security.
Medical staff emphasize: during the war the need for blood supplies is unstable, so regular local initiatives are not a luxury but a necessity. Every donation is a direct contribution to the survival of a specific person, and mass drives reduce the risk of critical shortages in hospitals.
