Ballet, Vivaldi and craft beer: six reasons not to stay home on June 27–28

The last weekend of June in Kyiv offers not only classical performances, but also the fifth outdoor craft festival and a charity stand-up show with an auction. There's something for every budget and mood.

June is coming to an end, and Kyiv is packing its last weekends more densely than a weekday week. Six formats — from ballet to beer under a generator — and none require advance preparation.

Ballet for those who haven't been to the theater in a while

On stage is a classic fairy tale in a two-act ballet format: Snow White, the evil Queen, seven dwarfs, and a prince. The format suits both adults and children — the choreography tells the story without words, so the audience's age doesn't matter. June 27, Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts.

Vivaldi by candlelight — without pretense

A concert of "The Four Seasons" by candlelight — a format that has long transcended being a tourist attraction. An intimate hall, live acoustics, no screens with words. For those who want to spend an evening without their phone. June 28, venue details — on the organizers' page.

"The Konotop Witch": not just for classical connoisseurs

A production based on Kvitka-Osnovianenko's novella — one of the few examples of Ukrainian comic classics on the big stage. Important: tickets for popular performances in Kyiv in summer sell out within days — it's better to check availability in advance.

Garden Beer Weekend #5 — craft beer under the open sky

The fifth craft beer festival brings together 20 breweries, a food court, lectures with tastings, and live music. The organizers took care of practicalities: three shelters nearby, powerful generators, three parking lots, pet-friendly. June 27 from 4:00 PM, June 28 from 1:00 PM — cultural space "Viava" near the Orangery at VDNKh, Akademika Hlushkova Ave., 1. Admission from 800 UAH.

Charity stand-up — laughter with practical results

Slava Bu, Oleksiy Priymaсhenko, Maksym Redzel, and Mykyta Skreminskyi take the stage. In addition to a humorous program — a charity auction. A format where a ticket works twice: both as an evening of entertainment and as a contribution.

Photo exhibition about animal evacuation from the front

60 documentary photographs taken during evacuation missions in 2022–2025. According to Glavkom, the exhibition is open until July 5 at the National Historical and Architectural Museum "Kyiv Fortress" (Hospytalna St., 24-A). It's not about "fluffy pets" — it's about the logistics of rescue under shelling.

Master classes and art exhibition

For those who want to create rather than watch — creative master classes and an art exhibition. A format without dress code or preparation: come, try, leave with a result in your hands.

If the Garden Beer Weekend festival this season maintained the quality of previous editions and attracted new breweries — it could become a regular city attraction even in wartime conditions. The question is whether there will be enough demand for a sixth edition to appear by autumn.
