The Ministry of Education has approved an innovative robotics program for students in grades 5-9. The pilot project will begin in 50 schools across the country starting this September.
The training will include practical classes on constructing and programming robots, which will help children develop technical thinking and prepare for future professions.
“Our goal is to engage children in engineering sciences from an early age,” said Olena Petrenko, head of educational programs. According to statistics, students who engage in robotics demonstrate better results in mathematics and physics.
A budget of 15 million hryvnias has been allocated for the implementation of the program. Schools are already receiving the necessary equipment, and teachers are undergoing special training courses to enhance their qualifications.
