British lance corporal killed in Ukraine during tests

On 9 December in Ukraine, 28-year-old Lance Corporal George Guli of the Parachute Regiment was killed. The UK Ministry of Defence confirmed the incident occurred away from the front line while he was observing the testing of new weaponry.

On 9 December a junior corporal of the British Armed Forces was killed in Ukraine.

Identification of the serviceman

The United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence confirmed the identity of the deceased: George Guli, 28, who served in the Parachute Regiment.

Circumstances of the incident

According to available information, he was wounded during a tragic incident while observing the testing of new defence equipment being conducted by Ukrainian forces.

It is reported the incident occurred outside the front line.

  • At the end of October the United Kingdom announced it would provide Ukraine with 5,000 new multi-purpose missiles.

Sviatopetrivsky Lyceum was once designed for approximately 350 students.
