On November 18, the High Anti-Corruption Court is to decide on a preventive measure for Chernyshov in the "Midas" case. The prosecution requests that he be taken into custody with an alternative bail of 55 million hryvnias.
Who has expressed a willingness to stand surety
According to LB correspondent Vitaliy Tkachuk, the Bishop of Komansky read from a sheet during the court session that "Chernyshov is an honest man."
The second applicant is the head of the state enterprise "V.S. Balitsky Scientific Research Institute of Construction Production" Oleksandr Savchenko. At the court session, he stated that he has known the former minister for 25 years and was born in the same city as him.
The third person willing to stand surety is the director general of the National Scientific Center for Surgery and Transplantology named after O.O. Shalimov Oleksandr Usenko. However, he did not appear in court as he is a doctor and allegedly is at work, so his request will not be considered at the session.
Prosecution's Position
The prosecution emphasized that standing surety does not mitigate risks and requests that Chernyshov be taken into custody with an alternative bail of 55 million hryvnias.
