Accusations of Ingratitude

At the beginning of his statement, the American president traditionally claimed that if he had been president, a full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation would not have occurred, asserting that this war is the responsibility of his predecessor Joe Biden and that the 2020 election, in which Trump lost, was allegedly rigged.

"I inherited a war that should never have happened, a war that is a losing one for everyone, especially for the millions of people who so senselessly died. The 'leadership' of Ukraine has expressed no gratitude for our efforts, and Europe continues to buy oil from Russia."

– wrote Trump. In the original text, everything from this fragment onward is written in capital letters.

On Arms Sales

However, the U.S. president also stated that America continues to sell NATO "huge volumes of weapons" for transfer to Ukraine, mentioning that under Biden, assistance was provided free of charge.

Reaction from Zelensky

Trump's new statement came against the backdrop of ongoing negotiations in Switzerland regarding a new U.S. peace plan.

Alongside Trump's statement, President Volodymyr Zelensky also released a message regarding the outcomes of the initial meetings and discussions in Geneva.

The leader of Ukraine indicated that there is now "an understanding that American proposals may take into account several elements that are based on the Ukrainian vision and are critically important for Ukraine's national interests."

At the same time, the politician did not specify which particular points were being referred to.

War

Russia attacked Kharkiv with kamikaze drones on the evening of November 23. Three people were killed and 15 were injured, including a 12-year-old child. Strikes were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Saltivskyi districts.
