The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the words of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who refused to provide financial assistance to our country, justifying this by allegedly high levels of corruption.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhiy, reminded the Hungarian politician of his own corruption scandals.

Earlier, on November 13, Orban stated that Hungary will not send funds to Ukraine, because the country, in his words, is “immersed in corruption and chaos related to the military mafia.” He added that Budapest plans to direct financial resources to domestic needs.

In response, the representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sharply criticized this position.

“Lectures on corruption from a politician who is himself involved in corruption scandals and has brought his country to the status of the poorest in the EU? No, thank you,” – wrote Tikhiy.
