Zelensky instructed the Cabinet and Prime Minister Svyrydenko regarding new personnel decisions in the energy sector
President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Cabinet to submit an urgent draft law to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on updating the composition of the National Commission for State Regulation in the fields of energy and public utilities. He announced this following an online meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
There is also a need to update the leadership of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate and the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate. In addition, the president instructed Svyrydenko to present to the Council a proposal for the appointment of the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
He emphasized that the Agency for the Search and Management of Assets needs to be updated "in full cooperation" with law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies. A new leader is expected to be appointed by the end of the current year after a competition.
Zelensky also instructed to promptly conduct an audit and prepare for the sale of assets and shares in assets that belonged to Russians and Ukrainians who fled to Russia.
"All such objects must operate at one hundred percent in the interests of Ukraine, to ensure our defense and to fill the budget of Ukraine," – the president emphasized.
