NOC names November’s top athletes: Korostylov and Volosenko

The National Olympic Committee has named its November laureates — Pavlo Korostylov won a full set of medals at the World Shooting Championships in Cairo, while Zlatoslava Volosenko took bronze at the Junior European Taekwondo Championships.

The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine announced the winners of the "Best Athlete of the Month" contest for November. They are shooter Pavlo Korostylov and taekwondo athlete Zlatoslava Volosenko.

The committee noted the athletes' performances in international tournaments held in November and selected the laureates based on the competition results.

Pavlo Korostylov's results

At the World Shooting Championship in Cairo, Korostylov won the gold medal in the 25 m center‑fire pistol event. In addition, he took silver in the team competition and twice finished third — in the 25 m standard pistol and in the team event of the 50 m free pistol.

Zlatoslava Volosenko's achievements

Junior Zlatoslava Volosenko won the bronze medal at the European Taekwondo (WTF) Championships in the under-49 kg weight category, held in the city of Aigle, Switzerland.

The laureates will receive cash rewards, exclusive statuettes and commemorative plaques during a formal awards ceremony organized by the National Olympic Committee.

The Ukrainian Shooting Federation and the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also be recognized for preparing the best athlete

Ukrainian cadets at the European Taekwondo Championships in Athens won five medals, including gold, silver and bronze medals.

At the European Muay Thai Championships in Athens, Ukrainian athletes won 35 medals across various age and weight categories.
