Horoscope for August 17-23: Why astrologers advise against making decisions this week

Astrologer Kseniia Bazylenko warns all zodiac signs: the eclipse corridor is not a time for making important decisions, but a time for observation. We figure out what this means in practice.

While some seek entertainment in horoscopes, others treat them as instructions for action. This week, August 17–23, astrologer Ksenia Bazilenko offers advice to UNN readers that sounds more like a psychological recommendation than a mystical prediction: do not rush, do not try to control everything, observe.

The reason is the so-called "eclipse corridor," which began with a solar eclipse on August 12 and will end with a lunar eclipse on August 28. According to the astrologer, it is during such periods that processes are launched, the consequences of which become visible not immediately.

The Practical Side of the Mystical

Regardless of whether you believe in eclipses or not, the advice "do not make important decisions under the influence of emotions" always works. Bazilenko states this directly:

"If an important decision can be postponed, it is better not to rush. But if events arise independently of you and life itself forces you to make a choice, treat it very seriously."

Essentially, this week's horoscope is a set of universal life tips distributed across twelve signs: do not quarrel with relatives over old grievances (Taurus), check information even if the source looks convincing (Gemini), do not take on others' financial obligations without reading the terms (Capricorn).

Who Is "in the Spotlight" This Week

Leos received the most dramatic forecast — the astrologer calls this period "one of the most important in the year," where status, work, and even self-perception can change. Scorpios are warned of possible publicity and a career offer, but with a caveat about Tuesday — an emotionally unstable day when you should not act rashly.

Virgos, on the other hand, are advised the opposite — less activity. "Your strength is understanding in time what you need to let go of," the forecast states. This is a rare case where a horoscope directly advises doing nothing.

What Should the Reader Do With This

The main practical value of such a text is not in predicting specific events, but in reminding you to pause before an impulsive decision and ask yourself: is this really urgent, or have emotions simply gotten the upper hand. The astrologer identifies the next critical moment on August 22–23 — that is when, according to her, there is the greatest chance of receiving news or a meeting that will affect the coming months.

The question is rather not "what will the zodiac say," but whether you are ready to use the pause it offers — regardless of whether you consider it the influence of celestial bodies or simply a reason to take a breath.
