Some consumers in five regions remain without electricity supply due to hostilities and strikes on energy facilities. The most difficult situation is in Odesa region, where after a massive attack on Sunday night, the enemy continued strikes on energy facilities, according to the Ministry of Energy and National Energy Company Ukrenergo.

"As a result of hostilities and strikes on energy facilities, some consumers in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions are temporarily without electricity supply," the Ministry of Energy stated.

Odesa region: repeated strikes during restoration

A significant portion of consumers in Odesa region who lost power after Sunday's attack have already been reconnected. However, over the past day, the enemy carried out new strikes on energy facilities in the region. Energy workers continue restoration work where the security situation permits.

No power restriction schedules are planned for the country today. In Odesa region, however, there remains a need for energy conservation to avoid overloading equipment following the massive attack.

Weather reduces grid load

Electricity consumption as of 09:30 on Monday was 16.7% lower than at the same time on Friday. The Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo attribute this to a decline in heat and clear weather across most of the country, except parts of central regions — this increases the efficiency of residential solar power plants and reduces overall network load.

Yesterday's daily maximum consumption, recorded on the evening of August 9, was 4.5% lower compared to the previous Sunday due to lower average daily temperatures.

"Considering weather conditions, intensive energy consumption today should be shifted to the period of most efficient operation of industrial solar power plants – from 10:00 to 16:00," Ukrenergo emphasized.

The situation remains dependent on two factors: the scale of further strikes on energy facilities in Odesa region and the pace of restoration work, which continues around the clock where security permits.
