On the night of August 11, Russians struck Zaporizhzhia with a combined attack using missiles and guided aerial bombs. Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Chief Ivan Fedorov reported that five people were killed and 20 more were injured.

Five people were killed, with 20 more injured: unfortunately, the number of victims from the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia is increasing

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, the number of casualties continued to grow at the time of the report.

Consequences of the strike

As a result of the attack, industrial and infrastructure facilities, a garage cooperative, and several non-residential buildings were damaged. Fires broke out at the impact sites.

Medics are providing assistance to the injured, and emergency services continue working at the strike locations. Air raid alerts remained in effect in the region at the time of the report.

Zaporizhzhia, located several dozen kilometers from the front line, regularly comes under rocket and bomb attacks. The question is whether the scale of this attack indicates a change in the intensity of shelling of the front-line city, or if it is just another episode in the same ongoing pattern.
