Ukrzaliznytsia proposes transferring the Odesa Railway Hospital to the community

Ukrzaliznytsia has initiated the transfer of the Odesa Railway Hospital into municipal ownership, including the land, buildings, equipment, and medical apparatus. The facility is to continue serving railway workers and expand medical services for local residents.

Ukrzaliznytsia is initiating the transfer of the Odesa Railway Hospital to communal ownership, along with the adjacent land plots, buildings, equipment and medical apparatus.

Transfer of property and infrastructure

Along with the premises, it is proposed to hand over to the community all of the facility’s land plots, administrative and technical rooms, as well as the medical equipment and devices used in the hospital’s operations.

On its basis it is planned to create a 500‑bed inpatient hospital department and a polyclinic capable of handling up to 600 visits per day

Financing and service provision

The company emphasizes that the staff and specialized services for railway employees will remain, and the institution’s intended purpose will not change.

The institution will gain access to broader sources of funding, including local budget programs, which will allow it to expand the range of medical services, upgrade equipment and serve a larger number of the city’s residents
