NAEK "Energoatom" warned on November 14 about a new risk of complete power outage at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
According to company representatives, the stability of external electricity supply to the facility, which is critical for safe operations, is under threat. If the plant completely loses connection to the power grid, it could lead to the 11th blackout, posing significant risks to radiation safety.
In the evening, at 16:18 Kyiv time, one of the two external power lines — the "Dniprovskaya" line with a capacity of 750 kV, which serves as the main power source for the temporarily occupied facility — ceased operation.
Energoatom emphasized that currently, the ZNPP is being supplied with electricity for its own needs exclusively through one line — "Ferroalloy-1" with a voltage of 330 kV.
