Municipal Workers' Day: Those Who Keep the Community Alive — Even During the War

The third Sunday of March in Ukraine is the Day of Housing and Communal Services Workers. In the Bilohorodska community, the day is a special opportunity to thank the people whose work is often unseen, but without which the daily lives of thousands of residents would be impossible.

Unseen work of enormous importance

Clean streets, functioning networks, stable water supply, and the upkeep of settlements — all of this is the result of the daily work of employees of the community's four municipal enterprises: КП «ККП Bilohorodka», КП «Bobrytsia», ПКГ «Horenychi» and КП «Sviatopetrivske».

Under shelling — on the job

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, municipal workers have been working without days off: clearing the consequences of shelling, maintaining critical infrastructure, and ensuring the operation of Points of Invincibility. During blackouts, it was their promptness that the community's water supply and wastewater services depended on.

"I am proud of the work of the employees of the Bilohorodka Village Council's municipal enterprises. I sincerely thank them for their conscientious work, professionalism, and dedication to the cause."

Anton Ovsiyenko, Bilohorodka village head

Some have gone to the front — the community is seeking reinforcements

Many municipal workers are currently defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces. The community respects this choice — and is looking for people ready to step in and take their places. An active spring season of public works is ahead, and there will be plenty of work. Those interested are invited to contact the administrations in their settlements.
