About the meeting
An administrative staff meeting was held at the Borodianka settlement council with the participation of heads of departments, municipal enterprises and community elders. Topics — the condition of public upkeep, protection of memorial sites, improving communication with residents and support for local business — became priorities for the near term.
Road repairs and seasonal work
According to Iryna Zakharchenko, acting head of the Borodianka settlement council, with the arrival of spring the main focus is on roads and upkeep of public areas. Relevant services have been instructed to step up filling and repair of problematic sections, and to strengthen oversight of upkeep in the community’s settlements. The decision is pragmatic: access to services, traffic safety and the responsiveness of municipal services depend on the quality of roads.
Protection of the Alley of Glory — a matter of respect and safety
They separately considered issues of preserving memorial sites for the fallen defenders of Ukraine. The community has recorded cases of vandalism — theft of flowers and memorial elements. As response options, they discussed increasing patrols and the possibility of installing video surveillance cameras to prevent such incidents.
"This issue is not only about the upkeep of the territory, but above all about respect for the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and their families"
— Iryna Zakharchenko, acting head of the Borodianka settlement council
Informing residents and the economic context
Participants agreed that prompt communication is the key to effective implementation of decisions: residents should know where to turn with problems, how to report damage to infrastructure and where to seek help. At the same time, they noted a positive trend in the development of local business: the opening of new enterprises creates jobs and strengthens the economic basis for financing municipal initiatives.
What's next
The meeting gave clear instructions: road repairs, strengthened control over memorial sites and work on the information system. The next stage is practical implementation of these decisions and transparent communication to the community about the progress of the work. For residents, this means increased comfort, better safety and the restoration of respect for the memory of the defenders.
