On December 21 a light installation called 'Share the Light' will begin operating on the facade of the Central Railway Station in Kyiv. The project is intended to reflect the inner resilience and mutual support of citizens, Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
How the installation will work
The installation will shine for several winter days and will have an autonomous power source to remain active despite wartime conditions.
Our inner light does not go out; we support one another and find strength even in the darkest times. This idea is what underpins the installation.

Interactivity and location
A QR code will be placed on the facade, through which visitors will access a mobile app and be able to choose the color of their own 'inner light', interacting with the attraction online.
The station has been a support for hundreds of thousands of people during the full-scale war: it has seen departures, returns and intense emotions. Now its facade will be transformed into a canvas of light for those who are moving forward.

The project's author is Ukrainian artist and lighting designer, founder Mykola Kabluka.
On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, lights were lit on a 16-meter artificial Christmas tree on Sofia Square in the capital. Kyiv's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said that the tree's decoration drew inspiration from the frescoes of Saint Sophia Cathedral.
