Dynamo Kyiv dismisses Oleksandr Shovkovskyi from his post

Oleksandr Shovkovskyi is no longer the head coach of Dynamo Kyiv. Ihor Kostyuk, the U19 coach, has been appointed acting head coach.

Dynamo Kyiv has dismissed Oleksandr Shovkovskyi from the position of head coach, the club said.

The entire coaching staff has also been relieved of their duties.

Shovkovskyi had held the post since December 11, 2023. During his tenure he oversaw 101 matches, 11 of them as acting head coach, and he won the Ukrainian championship in the 2024–2025 season.

Recently Dynamo suffered a 2–0 defeat to Cypriot Omonia in the 4th matchday of the Conference League, and prior to that the team had lost twice in a row in the Ukrainian Premier League.
