The Ukrainian Association of Football has decided where the national team’s potential two home play-off matches for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers will be held. The national team will play its home fixtures in Valencia at the Ciutat de València stadium.

Choice of stadium for the play-offs

The UAF Executive Committee approved the stadium, which is the home ground of Levante, as the primary venue for these matches. The selected arena was deemed optimal among several options considered in different countries; its capacity is 26,354 spectators. The association’s administration has been instructed to finalize the necessary agreement with the stadium and inform UEFA of the decision.

Play-off match schedule

According to the play-off schedule, under head coach Serhii Rebrov the team will play the semi-final against Sweden on 26 March 2026 at this venue. If victorious, the final for a World Cup spot will take place on 31 March at the same venue against the winner of the Poland – Albania tie.

If Ukraine qualifies for the 2026 World Cup, its group-stage opponents will be the Netherlands, Japan and Tunisia.
