The Hydrometeorological Center warned of fog in Kyiv on 29 November: visibility on the roads will be 200–500 meters, Level I danger (yellow) has been declared.

Weather conditions in the capital

Mostly cloudy weather with occasional clearings is expected. Southeast wind 5–10 m/s. Temperature at night +2–+4°C, during the day +7–+9°C.

For the last days of November, the country is forecast to have moderately warm weather with temperatures from +4 to +13°C and precipitation in some regions. In Kyiv on 29 November rain is likely; on 30 November no precipitation is expected, with expected temperatures around +8°C and +6°C, respectively.

Recommendations for road users

Drivers are advised to exercise caution when driving in fog and to take the following safety measures:

  • reduce speed;
  • if fog lights are available, switch them on together with low beams;
  • maintain a safe distance from other vehicles;
  • when stopped, turn on hazard lights;
  • avoid sudden maneuvers on the road.

Pedestrians are advised to be vigilant and wear reflective elements — flickers — to increase visibility to drivers in fog and in the dark.

The Carpathians are reporting cloudiness and below-zero temperatures; tourists were reminded of safety rules while staying in the mountains.
