Both models received features grouped under the Awesome Intelligence brand in One UI 8.5: transcription of voice-recordings, an AI Select tool for extracting text and content, as well as basic photo and video editing tools — object removal, automatic cropping, and processing suggestions. For Ukrainian journalists, volunteers, and small businesses this means a faster production cycle: from recording an interview to publication — without the need for complex desktop software.
Hardware and camera: a performance balance
The senior model runs on the Exynos 1680, the junior on the Exynos 1480. Both received a 50 MP main sensor with improved night shooting; the A57 additionally has enhanced post-processing — less noise, better detail, and higher shooting speed. This is a typical approach: stronger compression algorithms and AI compensate where the hardware sensors are not flagship-level.
Display, battery, protection and updates
The Galaxy A57 5G stands out with a thinner body, a 120 Hz AMOLED display and a 5000 mAh battery with fast charging. Both models have IP68 protection and, importantly, up to six years of Android and security updates. In the context of Ukraine, long-term support is not trivial: it reduces risks related to software vulnerabilities and extends the device lifecycle, saving money for families and organizations.
Price and market
Prices: the A57 5G starts at about $549 (≈€529), the A37 5G at $449 (≈€429). The A57 will be available in four colors (Awesome Navy, Gray, Icy Blue, Lilac), the A37 in its own palette. This places the new models in a competitive segment where buyers choose between AI functionality, display quality, and price. Against the backdrop of recent Exynos announcements with support for 144 Hz and 200 MP, and the appearance of the Galaxy S26 in Ukraine, Samsung is strengthening its position in Europe and local markets.
