Redmi A7 Pro arrives in Europe — 6,000 mAh battery for €130 and a new standard for budget phones

Money likes silence, but these numbers are worth knowing: Xiaomi is bringing a smartphone with a large battery and an attractive price to Europe — what this means for buyers in Ukraine and the EU.

What happened and why it matters

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A7 Pro on the European market — a model that earlier debuted in Malaysia and is now available in Italy running HyperOS 3. For €130 the manufacturer offers a smartphone with a 6000 mAh battery, which, combined with the budget price, makes the device a notable player in the mass segment.

Specifications: simplicity with an emphasis on battery life

The Redmi A7 Pro effectively replaces the Redmi A5 while keeping the same chipset — the Unisoc T7250. RAM is 4 GB LPDDR4x, storage is 64 or 128 GB (UFS 2.2). The 6.9‑inch IPS display has a 720p resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and brightness up to 650 nits (in HBM mode — up to 800 nits). A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also provided.

Cameras are an 8 MP front sensor and a 13 MP main sensor. Dimensions: 171.6 × 79.5 × 8.2 mm, weight — 208 g. Available colors: black, blue and green.

Price and availability

In Europe the entry-level 4/64 GB version costs €130, the 4/128 GB variant — €150. Its arrival in Italy means the device may soon appear in other countries in the region — important for Ukrainians who work or live in the EU and are looking for a reliable low-cost smartphone.

Market context

For the budget segment this is not just another release: the trend toward large batteries while keeping low prices is accelerating. Competitors have already announced models with similar focuses — for example, the Poco X8 Pro and the Oppo Find N6 (the latter in the premium category with a foldable body and also a 6000 mAh battery). Analysts note that manufacturers are increasingly prioritizing battery life as the main "feature" for mass buyers.

"6000 mAh in a price class of ~€130 is something buyers will truly notice, especially those who value battery life over cameras and high screen resolutions."

Who this interests and what’s next

The Redmi A7 Pro suits those who need long battery life at minimal cost: students, travelers, people using a phone as a backup or work device. For the Ukrainian market it is also a justified choice in situations where autonomy and reliable connectivity are important.

Analytical takeaway: the release reinforces the overall trend — budget smartphones are becoming more pragmatic. The question is how long competitors will allow Xiaomi to maintain this "quiet" advantage in the price segment.
