Rescue operations are ongoing simultaneously in several districts of the city, UNN reports citing emergency services.

"One person was killed, 27 injured, among the victims — two children. Work to eliminate the consequences is underway in several districts simultaneously"

Updated data from rescuers

In the Dniprovskyi district strikes were recorded on several residential high-rises. In a 25-story building the fire has been extinguished; rescuers are now dismantling unstable structures. A fire in an administrative building was also extinguished.

In the Darnytskyi district a UAV struck residential and private development. In the private sector two two-story houses burned. From a neighboring care home for the elderly 68 people with limited mobility were evacuated. A 24-story building was damaged; the fire continues between the 12th and the technical floor.

In the Desnianskyi district a drone struck a nine-story building — the fire has already been extinguished. In Obolon debris hit a three-story private house; work to clear the rubble is ongoing. In the Shevchenkivskyi district after a UAV strike a 10-story building is burning; rescuers continue searching for people under the rubble and in smoke-filled rooms.

Context and consequences

This massive attack shows how the enemy uses combined strikes, including UAVs, to target residential infrastructure and pressure the civilian population. The consequences are not only human losses, but also prolonged work to restore buildings, evacuate people with limited mobility, and restore communications.

"The number of injured is being updated during the operations — the priority now: locating people, extinguishing fires and safely evacuating vulnerable groups"

— Kyiv City Operational Headquarters

Rescue units are working at multiple sites simultaneously, which increases the burden on emergency services. Experts emphasize that in such conditions coordinated work between rescuers, medical services and utilities is critically important, as well as quick documentation of damage for subsequent state and international assistance.

What Kyiv residents should know today

- Follow the instructions of rescuers and emergency services.
- If possible, avoid areas where dismantling of structures and firefighting operations are ongoing.
- Local authorities and the State Emergency Service will update information about the injured and the condition of buildings — follow official announcements.

The key question now is how quickly damaged infrastructure can be restored and how to ensure affected people have access to medical and social assistance. Documenting the consequences and international support remain important for faster recovery and for holding those responsible to account.
