Sites hit
On the night of December 11, groups of unmanned aerial vehicles attacked Odesa region and Kremenchuk in Poltava Oblast, striking energy facilities. The information was confirmed by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, acting head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Kohut, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, and the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
Consequences and damage
The majority of aerial targets were shot down, however damage to an energy facility in Kremenchuk district was recorded. Fires broke out due to falling debris and direct hits. Two nearby private houses were also damaged, and glazing and doors were blown out in an administrative building. There are no casualties or injuries.
Response and background
The firefighting train of Ukrzaliznytsia, more than 50 firefighters and 13 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires. Previously, on the night of December 7, Kremenchuk suffered a massive combined strike on infrastructure, which caused disruptions to electricity, water supply and heating.
