Valentin Krasnopyorov. Yevheniy Malyukevych. Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi. Oleg Bazylevych. A conversation about some aspects of how Ukraine and Ukrainians can survive.

A discussion about the main issue – the survival of Ukraine as a state, a nation, a people. Today in our studio are individuals who work daily on the information and cultural front:

  • Valentin Krasnopyorov – founder of the initiative "The Last Capitalist"
  • Yevheniy Malyukevych – head of the Veteran Theater communications unit of the Territorial Defense Forces
  • Oleksiy Dmytrashkivskyi – officer of the communications unit of the Territorial Defense Forces.
  • Oleg Bazylevych – program host, screenwriter, artist, retired senior lieutenant in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the information war, our enemies are trying in every way to discredit us on the international stage, as well as to sow despair and capitulation within the country – all to reduce international support and our own ability to resist.

What can we oppose to this? We need to actively communicate with various audiences around the world, use any communication channels, and convey our truth, which is actually a universal and understandable truth for all humanity, based on values: the defense of the homeland, the preservation of the people, the struggle for freedom and against enslavement. There are many successful examples of such communication. We cannot afford to lose the information war on the international stage, as it could cost us the much-needed help and support right now.

And within the country, we need to unite. This is about perhaps the most valuable social resource for survival: the sense of camaraderie and the ability to lend a shoulder. The solidarity of Ukrainians is the guarantee that aggression will fail. That is why enemy propaganda tries to "atomize" Ukrainian society, pitting different groups of people against each other, or simply inciting some people against others, playing on the mismatch of certain interests and aspirations.

But solidarity based on values allows us to bypass the problem of mismatched interests. Such solidarity is always "horizontal – it is not in the "vertical of power," but in the spontaneous horizontal social connections, joint activities, and unification around interesting projects. One of these projects is the Veteran Theater, which is supported by the communications unit of the Territorial Defense Forces.

"Everything is connected to everything," as Barry Commoner, the founder of ecology as a separate science, noted back in the 1970s. It is impossible to do one thing without doing something else. Only together, only in horizontal connections, can we and must we engage in everything at once to successfully resolve the knot of problems that our society faces today.
