At the "Chornomorets" stadium in Odesa, damaged as a result of a Russian attack on August 7, significant restoration work has already been completed. This was reported by the stadium's press service.
Significant restoration work has already been completed, and the hotel, office, gym, conference halls and all facilities on our territory continue to operate as usual
It remains to complete the renewal of glazing and installation of windows.
Consequences of the attack
As a result of the enemy strike, the roof, glazing and stands of the stadium were damaged. A staff member was injured by glass fragments — she received medical care at the hospital, and as of now the woman is doing well. Other staff members and stadium residents were in shelter and were not injured.
Due to the attack, the UPL Directorate postponed the second round match between "Chornomorets" and "Kolos," which was supposed to take place at this arena.
What's next
The next match at the stadium is scheduled for Sunday, August 30: as part of the 4th round, "Chornomorets" will host Kryvyi Rih's "Kryvbas". The stadium is the home arena of Odesa's "Chornomorets" and the women's team FC "Sisters".
Currently, the pace of repairs allows the club to maintain its game schedule without further postponements — the only question is whether the glazing will be fully closed before the upcoming cold weather.
