Porsche and Lamborghini in France begin accepting cryptocurrency

Fintech company Lyzi, built on the Tezos blockchain, has introduced cryptocurrency payments at the Porsche Centre Montpellier and Lamborghini Bordeaux dealerships, allowing customers to buy cars with BTC, XTZ, stablecoins and more than 80 other cryptocurrencies.

Crypto payments at dealerships

French fintech company Lyzi, operating on the Tezos blockchain, has expanded its presence in Europe by introducing cryptocurrency payments at the Porsche Centre Montpellier and Lamborghini Bordeaux dealerships. These are the first premium showrooms in Europe to begin accepting digital assets for car purchases.

Buyers can now pay with Bitcoin (BTC), Tezos (XTZ), the EURC and USDC stablecoins, as well as more than 80 other cryptocurrencies.

Lyzi's plans and corporate changes

Lyzi said it intends to continue its international expansion in 2026.

  • On September 4, Porsche AG left Germany's main stock index DAX and moved to the mid-cap index MDAX.
  • In October, Porsche's executive committee began negotiations over the resignation of the current chairman of the board, Oliver Blume.
