Largest "Temp" factory building in Khmelnytskyi to be converted into a shopping center

The largest building of the "Temp" factory has received permission to be redeveloped into a multifunctional shopping center with two above-ground floors and one underground level.

Permit and scope of work

On November 27 a document was issued allowing the largest building of the Temp factory to be converted into a multifunctional shopping center. The scope of work covers the reconstruction of mechanical and administrative–utility premises, the warehouse of Shop No. 5 and the building of the RU-10 kV power unit with additions and extensions. The general contractor is LLC "Architektonika".

Parameters and areas

The project foresees work on a site of 4.4 hectares. The total floor area of the building will be 20,251 sq. m, of which the retail zone will be 6,455 sq. m. One underground and two above-ground floors are planned; the shelter will have an area of 2,139 sq. m.

Current use of the buildings

The duration of the works is estimated at 18 months. Production in the Temp buildings has ceased: one houses the Khmelnytskyi Institute of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, the other is being reconstructed into the Temp trade-and-office center. A McDonald's restaurant operates nearby.

Around 1 million sq. m of retail space are currently being built in the country.
