Bilohorod Community Receives Generator from France
The community received a 10 kW generator to ensure the operation of critical infrastructure facilities during power outages. The equipment was obtained in cooperation with the partner community of Boursr-Ivad (France), with delivery coordinated by Stand with Ukraine and "Electricians Without Borders" organizations. Preparatory work is currently underway—the generator will soon be put into operation.
Kyiv Region Leads Ukraine in Income Growth Rate
According to the results of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, Kyiv Region ranked first among regions in terms of income growth rate. In the first quarter of 2026, over 10.2 billion hryvnias was received into the general fund of local budgets—27.4% more than in the same period last year. To the regional budget—1.53 billion hryvnias, with 31.3% growth. The region has 230,600 business entities, with 5,300 new taxpayers registered during the quarter. Small and medium-sized businesses account for the foundation of revenues—78.2%.
Community Resilience in the Congress Focus
The Congress separately discussed communities' readiness to operate under difficult conditions: whether schools and clinics will function, whether there will be water and heating. For Bilohorod Community, the 2026 priority is additional equipment for gymnasiums, clinics, and feldsher-obstetric stations so that blackouts do not halt the provision of basic services.
Bucha Marks 4 Years of De-occupation with "Localist" Festival
Cities and villages of Kyiv Region marked the fourth anniversary of the completion of the Kyiv Defensive Operation. In Bucha, Wonder Park hosted the "Localist" festival—featuring a fair of local producers, creative workshops, activities for children, and live music. Recall that during occupation, 277 settlements of Kyiv Region fell under enemy control.
School No. 1 in Hostomel—In Final Stage of Restoration
The school, which suffered significant damage during the invasion, is approaching completion of repairs. Final interior and exterior work is underway, with territorial beautification ongoing in parallel. The renovated facility will meet modern educational and sanitary standards and will be equipped with modern learning technologies.
Court Opens Case Over Landfill on Bucha River
The Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv Region appealed to the commercial court regarding an illegal landfill on the bank of the Bucha River in Verpene. The court opened proceedings. The landfill covering an area of over 3.4 hectares formed after de-occupation. Research found E. coli bacteria levels exceeding norms by a thousand times, pathogenic microflora, heavy metals, and surface water contamination. Environmental damage is estimated at over 5 million hryvnias.
Eternal Memory. Ivan Ignatchenko, 42 Years Old
On April 9, a farewell ceremony was held in Bilohorodka for Ivan Ignatchenko—a defender of Ukraine who served as a senior sapper-mortar operator in the 152nd Separate Jaeger Brigade. He carried out combat missions in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions of Donetsk region. For a long time, he was considered missing in action. On March 18, his relatives received confirmation of his death based on DNA matching results.
He was remembered as a sincere, kind, and caring person—always ready to help. Rest in peace, Cossack.
719 Medals: Kyiv Region Sets All-Ukrainian Records
Athletes from Kyiv Region won 39 medals at international competitions—18 gold, 14 silver, and 7 bronze. At all-Ukrainian competitions—719 medals. Kyiv Region is represented at any competition in Ukraine and invariably returns with awards.
