Comfort and energy independence: Bilohorodka social services move into a "light-filled" office

While the country grapples with pressures on its energy system, the Bilohorodska community is setting an example of efficiency: the council’s social services have left cramped semi-basements for a modern, energy-independent facility. This is not merely a relocation but a strategic move to ensure stable assistance to veterans and community residents under any circumstances.

A new address of care: why it matters

From now on, the key social services of the Bilohorodska village council are operating in the premises of KNP "Center for Primary Health Care". Instead of old offices — spacious, bright and, most importantly, warm rooms. The veterans policy department, the service for children, and the department for recovery affairs are already receiving visitors here.

The head of the community, Anton Ovsiienko, personally inspected the new office's readiness for work. According to him, the change of location will not only improve service for people but also significantly save budget funds that were previously spent on renting external premises.

"It's pleasing to see how the space has changed and with what spirit the team has started work. At the same time, we save money on fuel and rent by effectively using our own communal spaces."

The community's energy shield

The main advantage of the new location is its autonomy. The community emphasizes: the building is fully protected from power outages. Local government experts call this model "smart resilience," which should become a standard for all of Ukraine.

Last year a powerful solar installation was mounted on the roof of the building:

  • 50 modules of solar panels;
  • 51 kW of total capacity.

This ensures that even during blackouts residents will be able to obtain necessary certificates, consultations and assistance without delays.

Context: accessibility as a priority

The relocation is part of a broader community development strategy. The renovated space is being made as inclusive as possible — Braille signs and additional wayfinding will appear here soon. It's a clear signal: the social sector in Bilohorodka is becoming open and convenient for everyone, regardless of circumstances.
