Ministry of Culture declares Wikimedia, Slidstvo.Info and bookstore 'Ye' critically important

The Ministry of Culture designated several NGOs and companies as critically important to the economy, including Wikimedia Ukraine, Slidstvo.Info and the "Ye" bookstore chain. It also confirmed the status for a number of media outlets and publishers.

The Ministry of Culture has decided to grant the status of critically important for the functioning of the economy and for supporting the population's livelihood during a special period to a number of public organizations and enterprises.

New organizations on the list

The updated list includes public associations and commercial entities. Among them the key positions are occupied by:

  • NGO "Wikimedia Ukraine" (regional branch of the Wikimedia Foundation in Ukraine)
  • NGO "Slidstvo.Info" (independent investigative journalism agency)
  • LLC "Knyharnya 'Ye'" (a chain of bookstores)

In addition, the status was granted to LLC "Noviy Druk", LLC "Content Management Group", the publishing house "Introligator" and the private enterprise "Modem".

Confirmed organizations and media

The ministry also confirmed previously assigned statuses for a number of information and industrial entities:

  • State Enterprise "Center for the Protection of Ukraine's Information Space"
  • LLC "LIZKO"
  • Private joint-stock company "TV channel 'Inter'"
  • LLC "Telestudio 'Information Service'"
  • LLC "National Information Systems"
  • LLC "Nashe Radio"
  • LLC "TRC 'Media Market'"

Earlier decisions and musicians

Earlier the list included companies and projects such as Svyatoslav Vakarchuk's "Supersymmetry", the "Underground Stand-up" project and TV channel "1+1". The status was also granted to "Ukrainian Radio Group" and the Kharkiv book factory "Globus".

The ministry also confirmed the critically important status for the musical groups "Bez Obmezhen" and "Boombox".
