Five days, over 300 participants — how this will affect local communities
In Bucha, at the "Sports Academy" sports complex, the Ukrainian Table Tennis Championship has kicked off. For five days, more than 300 athletes from various regions of the country will compete for the championship, KOVA reported.
This is the first championship on such a scale to unite participants of all age categories. The Kyiv region delegation includes 15 athletes, most of whom are representatives of the Hatne community. Such representation demonstrates that the regional training system is delivering results.
The inclusion of table tennis in the All-Ukrainian School Leagues "Shoulder to Shoulder" has created a natural channel for involving children and youth in systematic training. This not only increases the number of young athletes, but also builds a talent pool for national teams and encourages local authorities to invest in infrastructure.
