Who is affected

Today four members of the Ukrainian team were scheduled to take the slope: Yan Havryuk, Oleksandr Okipniuk, Maksym Kuznetsov and Dmytro Kotovskyi. The cancellation disrupts their competition rhythm — restoring concentration and adjusting training plans will be key.

Women's qualification and Big Air

The women's qualification was moved to 14:45 Kyiv time. It will feature Diana Yablonska, Oksana Yatsiuk, Angelina Brykina and Nelli Popovych.

Due to difficult weather conditions, the start of the Big Air final was also postponed indefinitely. At the same time, Ukrainian Kateryna Kotsar has, for the first time in history, reached the final and will start with number 2 — an important milestone for our team.

What this means and what's next

Organizers promise to announce the new date and time for the men's qualification. For athletes and coaches this is a matter of adaptation: readjusting training logistics, maintaining psychological readiness, and managing risks caused by changing conditions.

Weather disruptions at the Olympics are not uncommon; those who recover their rhythm faster and use pauses to refine their technique will benefit. For Ukraine, Kateryna Kotsar's advancement to the final remains a positive sign — a moment that can energize the whole team before the next starts.
