The capital police detained a man who committed a robbery at a store and detonated a paintball grenade while fleeing the scene. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv.

How it all happened

The incident occurred on Mykhailo Stelmakh Street. The man attempted to leave the sales area without paying for the goods, but was stopped by the cashier.

At that moment, the perpetrator took out a paintball grenade, removed the safety pin, and handed it to the woman. After that, he ran out of the store with a second grenade and threw it into a trash bin. Since the pin had already been removed, an explosion occurred, startling passersby.
