The government adopted a resolution, after which Ukrzaliznytsia is launching the first stage of the “3000 km Across Ukraine” program. In December the project will operate in test mode on routes heading to frontline areas.

This will allow families to visit relatives near the front line or residents of frontline communities to move to other regions for the winter period

Program conditions

Passengers will receive a package of up to 3000 km for travel during off-peak periods. The bonus can be used where there are available seats in platzkart (open-plan sleeper), compartment (kupe), in regional trains and in second class Intercity.

The government's decision provides compensation mechanisms so that Ukrzaliznytsia also receives additional revenue, including dynamic pricing in the premium segment
