Directors Guild of America honored "2000 Meters to Andriivka"
Ukrainian director Mstyslav Chernov received the Directors Guild of America (DGA) award in the category "Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Documentary" for the film "2000 Meters to Andriivka". This was reported by the Ukrainian Film Academy and UNN.

This is Chernov's second DGA award: in 2023 his film "20 Days in Mariupol" was also recognized by the Guild. The film "2000 Meters to Andriivka" was included on the BAFTA 2026 longlist in the category "Best Documentary" — of 61 submitted films, 10 works made the list.
Why this matters
DGA and BAFTA are not only industry awards, but institutions that shape media and distributor interest. Recognition at this level increases the visibility of Ukrainian stories and raises the chances that testimony about the war will reach a wide international audience.
